Outdoor intelligence for finding the right campground — built on data we can verify, not guesswork.
CampIntel helps you find campgrounds using computed, transparent data across all 50 U.S. states, with in-depth guides currently published for Washington, Montana, Missouri, and California — more states in progress.
Every campground gets a CampIntel Score from 0 to 100. It's a transparent, weighted blend of signals we can verify from real data:
We deliberately don't score subjective things like scenery, quiet, or "vibe" — there's no honest data source for them, so rating them would be guesswork. Each signal on a campground page cites where it comes from.
Our rig-fit tool checks your RV's length against each campground's real per-site data — an answer generic directories and search summaries structurally can't give, because it depends on your specific rig.
Campground information is sourced from Recreation.gov (the federal Recreation Information Database). Distances and other geographic details are computed from official coordinates. For live availability and current pricing, we link you straight to the official source.
We show what the data supports and flag what it doesn't — for example, we cap and caution unusually long site-length values that are likely data-entry errors. We don't invent ratings, amenities, or reviews.
CampIntel is supported by advertising. We're not currently running any affiliate programs, but if we do in the future, they'll never cost you anything extra, and they won't influence our computed scores.
